SOLD Trio of Scrap Metal and Wire Folk Art Rocking Chairs man in coat with tails Aside from missing bit along

Aside from missing bit along front bottom edge

I love the hourglass shape and the detail at one end with a ring hat looks like a bolt around a screw

with black flourishes that look a bit like mustaches and snake-like spiral at center hinting at what is inside

it is pure joy to lose time arranging and rearranging these

super painterly pair of Felix the cats

SOLD Trio of Scrap Metal and Wire Folk Art Rocking Chairs man in coat with tails Aside from missing bit alongA pretty fabulous trio of rockers looking rather Calder esque to me, and seeming poised to accommodate a family of miniature humans: small, medium, and large. Soldered together of scraps of sheet metal and bent wire, with a definite attentiveness to modernist aesthetics. I especially love the bent wire back of the mid size rocker, looking like a paper clip labyrinth. Like three dimensional line drawings. Largest: 4 1 2" t x 3 3 4" d. Mid: 3 5 8" t.
