A fantastic piece of history here
weighing 4 ounces and built for a #6 line
It has fine tips and reminds me very much of an early Leonard Catskill
a pioneer of the sport whose contributions and knowledge frequented the Fishing Gazette in articles by George Kelson
There is some small brassing here and there but the ferrule fit is nice and tight
Hardy St. Aidan Reel Salmon and Steelhead Rods A fantastic piece of historyA nice Hardy St Aidan fly reel. 3 3 4" diameter set up for left hand wind. Some rim rash but looks as though it's only been very lightly used. Unknown modern line on the spool, possibly an #8 or a #9. Tiny bend in foot. Original Hardy pouch with instructions. This one is a good fishable classic reel that won't break your budget.
