I just love the pips

One of two horizontal struts on the underside of the lid

then release them from various points to chart their flights

as was the case with this carved sculpture

Marvelously Weird Cabinet Card "Boudoir Photo" of Girl with Wand and Armored Statue hatted California College of Arts andThis girl! Quite a curious vision in her ringlets and flounces and hair flowers and magic wand in hand looking as if about to head to a ball with the statue who stands beside her, a miniature knight in shining armor as her date! What makes it ever weirder is that the stamp on the back of the card labels it as a boudoir portrait as if this awkward young thing were meant to be a seductress.. Makes me wonder about that Zeph Magill! Wonderfully weird. 8 1
